Oh man, made it through the work weekend and in one piece no less. Both days were steady with calls, not overwhelming and yet never slow enough to make the shift crawl along. I know I’ve said in the past I hate slow days, the kind where you’re so bored you have to wear a First Alert beeper just in case you call out of your chair asleep and break your hip.
I did have time to catch the news though, it plays on the small TV I have in my office where I work, and I caught the Trump protest in Phoenix. You know the one, the protest where the people stopped their cars on the road to the venue where Trump was going to speak and blocked anyone else from being able to get to the rally. Yeah, it made me giggle too. Am I like most people who have the hard time of trying to figure out why he’s so damn popular? I mean, I get the fact we’re all angry with the establishment, that we’re all over and done with the status-quo on both sides of the political game. Heck, I’m a staunch Libertarian who has never voted for a Republican or a Democrat, that’s when I vote I admit. Most of the time I get so sick of the whole process and circus I just stay here in my cave and write or play video games. And yet, here I sit in utter amazement that someone like Trump is so favored among people that he can, might, become President. I am shocked with it all, the Republican Party and Trump and just everyone involved in this thing. It’s enough to drive a man to get a stiff drink.
Oh well, it will be what it will be. As for the rest of the week it’ll be work on the new novel and a few other things that I need to get done round the old homestead. I hope everyone had a great weekend, I’ll keep you in my thoughts as Monday is just around the corner.
See everyone tomorrow.
