And it’s HUMP DAY once more…

Category: Musings My Works That's just R Kane Written by R Kane / April 20, 2017

Good eve all my friends and followers, how are you on what was an excellent hump day? I hope it was fine. I expect it was because, hey, it was hump day for crying out loud. My day wasn’t too bad, went to the gym and did my workout, then came home and rested a bit before working on the new novel some more. Yes, I still plan on putting out a new book this year, and no I’m not going to tell you which series gets the new work. I plan on keeping that secret for a little while longer, at least until I feel it’s right to let everyone know what I’m working on. And yes, I know, it has been a work in progress for a long time, but I will say it will be worth the wait. This I promise you everyone, just hang in there a little longer.

I checked and noted a few more purchases of my books on Smashwords and Amazon, so thank you for the people who bought my stuff. I hope you enjoy the books.

There was a change here to the R Kane household. I got faster Internet people! Yes, I am a big fat nerd and I literally had a nerdgasm when the installation was done. See, I’ve been living with a basic DSL line these last few years, and let me tell you, going just 256K on the Internet Superhighway is NO WAY to live. Taking minutes to download memes is painful, having to wait for YouTube videos to buffer can bring a person to the brink, but for a gamer who can’t download the latest games and DLC…well that’s bloody soul wrenching. The pain of knowing a 15 Gigabyte download will take 4 days, that’s right, 4 DAYS I said, will tear a nerd’s heart right in two. But not anymore, no sir, I finally got the chance to upgrade and daddy went top of the line. I got a fiber connection pulled to the house and setup. That means a WHOLE HECKUVA change in speed. After all was said and done, I went up to a speed of 27 MB down and about 10 to 15 up. I’m not kidding, when I tested the speed by downloading a 12 Gig file and it took all of ten minutes at an average of 29 MB, I seriously cried. And it takes a lot for me to cry, the birth of my daughter and the loss of my dad were two that got the water works going, and when I saw that meter bar quickly to the right, when I knew I was finally FLYING on the Internet Superhighway, well my friends, I cried and there is no shame in that…well, maybe just a bit.

Oh well, I guess I’ve bored everyone enough. I hope your Thursday goes well, I’ll see everyone tomorrow, and keep on spreading the good word that is R Kane…

Thank for sharing!
