Good evening my friends, followers, and just good people. I hope your week is going good, you’ve made it all the way to Wednesday, Hump Day! The rest of the week is nothing but downhill, sliding into Friday and the weekend. Trust me, the hardest part of this trip is over. As for me, I have been using my time off to get work done on the re-edit of The Man in the Black Hat. I’m just over halfway and I should be close to finishing her soon. I’m just happy the mistakes have been small, but quite a few. Hopefully I get as much as possible for version number 2.
I haven’t been so neck deep in my work though to not have noticed what’s going on in the world, and no, I don’t mean all the hoopla with Healthcare or Trump Tweets. Frankly, I avoid political talk and the shows hosted by ‘pundits’ like a booger on the end of my finger. The discourse from politics is just too much for me take in, the discourse too raw.
No, what caught my eye and made me smile from ear-to-ear was this, Liev Shreiber being the best dad I have seen in a long time. He took his son to the San Diego Comic con, and his boy dressed up as none other than the devilish Harley Quinn. See, I give all my props to Liev for doing what every parent should be doing 200%, and that’s supporting your child in whatever they choose to do. See, everyone likes to talk about how any boy can bring a baby into this world, but it takes a man to raise said baby. Well, what no one likes to mention is takes a true ‘parent’ to support your child, and by that, I mean letting your kid choose their own life path. It takes tremendous effort to raise your baby, clothing and feeding and guiding your progeny is just the beginning, because it takes even more to let your child go ‘their own way’ in this world. It takes a devotion beyond words, a love so strong it can’t be described, to support your child like he does…like I do and so many others do.
Kudos to you Mr. Schreiber, you just got my vote for Dad of the Year.
And that’s it from me tonight my friends, it’s all I had to say. I have to go back and get to work on this re-edit so keep it safe and between the lines. I’ll talk to everyone again soon, till then, keep on spreading the good word that is R Kane
See you soon…
