Good afternoon my friends, loyal followers, and just plain old good people. I hope you all are doing fantastic, hope everyone made it through your Monday with minimal loss to your psyche and good nature. Me, well, I’m a little tired, got just short of 3 hours of sleep so far, which is usually the norm for a Tuesday due to the fact I have the graveyard shift on Monday nights. It’s my last shift, which means my weekend is officially ‘ON’ at the moment. Weird, but I look forward Monday nights because when Tuesday morning comes I am off the clock for the rest of the week, let the parties begin!
Wait, I’m an adult with a child so I can’t cut too loose…damn, responsibility sucks!
But, before I go on any further, we have to address the elephant in the room, and by that, I mean what happened in Charlottesville, VA this weekend. I won’t go into the gory details because I know all my followers know what happened there, your smart people, keep up on current events and all. What started out as disgraceful and deplorable quickly turned unbelievably tragic due to one man’s hate and anger. My prayers and thoughts go out to the three lives lost so senselessly this weekend, three lives gone due to nothing more than pathetic lost ideals and misplaced frustration. May the Great Spirit guide those who left us to peaceful waters and beautiful fields.
And that is all I will say about this weekend, if you know me then you know how I feel about it. If you infer what I think, from my last words, that I detest what happened and those who caused it, well, you wouldn’t be wrong in assuming that much.
So, I’m only ten pages away from finishing the re-edit of The Man in the Black Hat, and you know what that means? What, no guess? It means I can put it out and then publish the next book in the series, the new one. Oh, I haven’t told you the tittle yet to the new book? Well, where are my manners? I am so sorry my friends.
The new book from the creative mind of the Independent Author R Kane, that’s me, is the next installment for our mystic shaman John Greywolf. You already knew that? Yeah, I know. I was trying to be dramatic and all. So, the name of this new book is…
Huh, you like it? Yeah, I know, very mysterious…if not downright cryptic! I think everyone who read The Man in the Black Hat will just love this new one. I’ve had one hell-of-a fun time writing it. Well, it’s time for me to go my friends, duties and responsibilities call, which if you’ve read this far you know how I feel about all that. I’ll see everyone soon, keep it between the lines, and remember to spread the good word that is R Kane to all corners of this big blue world.
A budding independent writer who simply likes to put to paper the many words floating around in my mind. I hope all enjoy…
