Good morning my friends and followers! I hope you’re all doing great, that no issues are weighing you down or dragging you into a ditch. I’ve been working away here, doing the daily grind so I haven’t had the time to devote to much else. I guess that’s why I decided to take the weekend off from work, which I have to admit, feels kind of weird. When you’re a work-aholic like myself, a pure ‘completionist’, then when you’re not working it feels off. I’m sitting here right now, at my desk, and I swear I can hear the phone ring. It’s ghost like, just barely there out on the fringe of my hearing, and its freaking me out just a tad bit. Like, I just heard the phone ring, and even though my mind knows I’m on vacation and I’m not logged in, my body keeps reaching to click the key to pick up the phone app on my PC. I’ve clicked the damn pick up button like twenty times already, and every time I do I end up putting extra characters in my post here!
Wait…ffffff…crap, there it was again
Yeah, I know your laughing, I can hear it like I can hear that damn ghost phone!
And, I can’t believe I have to do this again, I want to send out my prayers to the souls taken home this week due to a mad man’s rampage. I know each and every one of those who lost their lives in Manhattan were special, were bound to do great things or inspire others to new heights, and to know that now that potential is gone, it’s fucking heart breaking. Sorry for the coarse language, but it makes me so mad to see this happen, and then to know that the aftermath of such an attack is coming, well that just drives me nuts as well. The cries of ‘All Muslims are Killers’ and ‘The Muslim faith is evil’ went up just hours after the event, and people, that’s not right, not right at all. And you know why? It’s because that’s what the terrorists want to do, to drive us apart and thus weaken us. We need to mourn our loss, to tend to our broken hearts and the hurt there, and then we need to gather ourselves and with unbreakable courage move forward. It’s what those who were taken would want, not see us slip farther into that pit where we tear each other apart over such silly things like beliefs. It’s been proven time and time again that we’re too divided as a nation, that we are too filled with animosity and distain for those who are different, and that we can’t get along and work together unless some great tragedy forces us too.
Well, any loss of life due to extremism is a tragedy and we better recognize this before it’s too late. We can work to make this world a better place or we can sit back and watch it blow up and burn.
Me… I’ll vote for the first one every time.
I hope you all have a great weekend, and remember, keep on spreading the good word that is R Kane
Wait, got a call…fffff…Crap!
